2:00 PM, Tuesday, 21 June 2011
The Buc Battalion recently announced the list of ETSU Army ROTC Hall of Fame inductees who'll make up the Class of 2011. The ETSU Army ROTC Hall of Fame recognizes alumni, former cadre members, and others who have distinguished themselves professionally and made significant contributions to ETSU's ROTC program. This year's inductees are: Ray Abner (ETSU '54), the Buc Battalion's first Cadet Battalion Commander; Master Sergeant (Retired) Glenn Greanya Jr, former Senior Military Instructor at ETSU; Lieutenant General (US Marine Corps - Retired) Fred McCorkle (ETSU '66); Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Rich Measner, a former Professor of Military Science at ETSU; and Army Captain Eddie Reed (ETSU, '64), who was killed in action on 1 February 1968, while serving in Vietnam.
These individuals will be honored during this Fall's Hall of Fame induction ceremony, scheduled for 4pm on Friday, 7 October, at the Veteran's Memorial in front of Brooks Memorial Hall on the ETSU campus. The ceremony will be open to the public. Join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of these five great Americans, and pay tribute to the tremendously positive impact they've had on the Buccaneer Battalion and its Cadets.
